The Walking Dead on AMC

good episode. I'm not sure why Shane is getting a bad rap? He is right on most accounts. Rick runs off to save one person but ends up causing more damage in the long run. I like Rick and his character is starting to understand the world more in Shanes terms but with more tact.

I'm guessing that Shane goes and rescues Lori...again. Maybe the Yankees notice the smoke from the fire at the farm but they wouldn't leave without their 2 friends...hmmm. Herschel's daughter is turning into a walker but did she get bit or something? They think she's in shock but that's not it.

I was actually speculating on this to my wife as well. I thought maybe when she went to go help her dead zombie mother after the barn massacre and the mom came back to life that maybe she had been scratched or something.

Shane's a shitty actor. I just want him to die so I don't have to see anymore of his shitty acting.

Satelites run on communication links. If there is no network they won't send info back to the device. I think we design poo that way so we don't get "skynetted"

Now I have to google it.

I always counted on having a least a year or 2 of GPS in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

Jangler: If Hayden Panettiere was a zombie do you try to get one of those silence of the lambs masks on her and keep for your amusement? or is it just too risky and stick with fistina?

I heard the original creator of the show wanted just to do it as a miniseries adaption, then quit when they wanted to make it a series show. Right now, its quickly turning into one of those shows that will meander around for 4-6 seasons and then spend 2 episodes shoving an ending down our throats when they get cancelled.

I'm still enjoying the show, but it definitely needs more zombies.

i kinda agree. they should do one more season and then finish it off in a mini series fashion and walk away.

the original creator of the show is the dude who created the comics, Robert Kirkman, I believe, and he is still in charge along with the AMC execs.

You are referring to Frank Darabont. You might know him as the director of The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist and a few more.

He was fired midway through this season and I'm pretty sure the episode where they open the barn is his last episode. Darabont is now calling the shots on a big time major network show called like "LA Noire" or some poo and wants Jon Bernthal (Shane) as the lead role. There is no confirmation of him leaving TWD to take the new gig,

SPOILER IN WHITE

but a lot speculation is that he will and essentially be killed off in season2. again take that with a grain of salt because nothing has been released and there is no confirmation from anyone involved. But it looks extremely likely based on the comic book and essentially the promotion in Bernthals career.

END OF SPOILER

Darabont recently released a statement to a fansite that if he were still in charge, the leading episode for season 2.5 (the episode last night) would have been a quasi-documentary on the soldier who Rick shoots inside the tank the very first episode. It would have been about that soldier and you would have seen the story of that guy and the events leading up to him being bitten in Atlanta, sprinkled in with a few small appearances of the characters (like when Dale first meets Andrea and Amy).

Sounds pretty awesome too bad it won't happen
