maybe herschel was trying to save them the heartbreak of finding sophia as a zombie as well

i think its this.

also, i think this is a good object lesson on people and how we THINK we would handle insane adversity.

To me, those that like Shane would probably be impatient and want to control a situation and not let things play out. I don't see him as a big picture guy. I see him as a guy who continuallys rationalizes his own motives or outcomes.

Rick has a thin guilty conscience. He is a natural leader but it kills him to the core to put someone in harms way.

Daryl is pragmatic and to the point. He use to not to think beyond the day and now sees the bigger picture.

Glenn finally grew a pair. He is a chamelon and wants to just fit in. Proly since he is the only Asian.

Tdog. The very little I have seen he can't let some biases go. He listens to Dale but prefers to bolt and live another day.

Dale. The sage of the bunch. Naturally he has aquired some insights into people over the years that has served him well. He can be meddling because he is old and he thinks he knows better.

I think he was trying to hide the guns so that Shane doesn't become unhinged and kill one of them. Nothing more.

Yeah good points, probably a psychiatrist.

You guys think Dale doesn't like Shane just because of the blonde bitch's relationship with him and because of Otis?

Did yall forget that the reason he didn't like him to begin with was because he pulled a gun on Rick behind Rick's back that one time in the woods? That's likely what sparked Dale's idea that Shane shot Otis.

I love me some Shane after this episode. Yes, he is a motherfuger. But without him the group wouldn't be where they are today for the most part. He killed Otis, which in turn saved Carl. He definitely does belong "in this world" as Dale said, but the man is the real deal. And he made a good point that they all almost died in their camp outside of Atlanta because Rick had a guilty conscience about leaving Meryl (Daryl's brother). Shane may be a cold-hearted son of a bitch, but you will live the longest sticking with him over the others. Except maybe Daryl, he's awesome too.
