That 6-episode 1st season was done as a complete project, they did not know if they would be getting picked up for more. Thats why, IMO, that each of those episodes were more content than characters. This season, the people behind the show know youre hooked, know youre going to watch so its more about the development of each character. Last season was just to introduce us, this season its about getting to know them...

Really good 'last' episode, renewed my interest in the show. I wonder how long Sophia was in teh barn, and did Hershel know? I would like to know what happened to the little girl from when Rick left her and when she was found... I think its awesome the character Shane has become, still a decent person -see his few minutes with Carl and what he is becoming -a volatile, self-preserving FTW kinda guy...

Anybody know how many episodes we're gettin in February?

Dale's motives bother me the most. He's so vague on everything. How does he know all this stuff? Is he a mind reader? I mean why is he hiding the guns? Because he THINKS Shane shot Otis. He has no evidence to back up any of his concerns.

And the Dale/Shane confrontation in the swamp didn't make me side with Dale at all. If anything I was on Shane's side.

What I dont get is why did she only get bite in the neck by a zombie. A little girl like that would easily have been eaten and dismembered by an adult zombie, not just a taste bite on the neck...what are their fuging vampires now?

I am thinking that she got bit, and then hid in that house that Dale found, until she got fully infected.

Only way I think I can rationalize it.

Thats what I was thinking that she was able to run away after the initial bite (might have been a slow/weak decomposed Walker) and then got to the house when the fever hit.

Agreed. I effin' hate Shane. That barn could have easily been secured to keep the walkers in. If Shane doesn't feel safe, he needs to leave and find his own place. It's not his land, and it's certainly not his family in that barn.

Don't get me wrong, I see his point entirely and he is definitely the most fit to survive in such a world -- but at what cost? What's the point of surviving in a world bereft of all humanity? You're no better than the mindless creatures that are also -- guess what? -- only living to survive.

One of Dale's quotes in the episode sort of summed up my own personal philosophy regarding the zombie apocalypse:

"I may not have what it takes to last long, but at least I can say when the world went to poo I didn't go down with it."

For the first time ever I actually felt sorry for the walkers. Excellent play by the writers

also since otis did all the walker corralling why is he too stupid to put 2 and 2 together when the group got there because of a missing girl and then he goes and puts a girl walker in the barn?? I hate when such logical blunders happen in shows it's grating.

Because Herschel, in his own misguided way, thought he could save her. I can see Daryl going off on Herschel for not telling them.

    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
    • Logjam, indeed! Makes me nervous.
