So who would you like the Panthers to draft with our 4th overall pick?

Personally I would like the Panthers to use the entire draft on defensive and special teams players.

i still think the panthers will get things going before the end of the season and end up with a pick outside of the top 5 but, if they do end up with the 4th pick, i'd go blackmon/kalil or trade out and draft nothing but defense. which is pretty much what everyone is saying.

You can have too many pass rushers if it's at the expense of talent at other positions. The Giants drafted JPP because they prefer to play Kiwanuka at LB and Osi has been injured/contract dispute not to mention getting older (I think all 3 are approaching or past 30). Our stud DEs are both young and have plenty of years ahead of him.

I'm talking about, if we draft Coples how are we going to get Johnson, Hardy and Coples all the snaps they need to be effective? There was talk of playing Hardy in the middle. We'd have the smallest DL in modern NFL history with 3 DEs and 1 DT and you think we're getting run on now, imagine if our DL is outweighed by a combined 200 lbs.

If any of the three are on the bench, that's talent sitting doing nothing. DE isn't like RB where they need a breather because they're getting pounded. Sure, quality backup is necessary in case of injury or if one of the starters DOES get winded but if we were to draft Coples that'd be like having 3 Pro Bowl DTs or RBs. 2 is nice, 3 is overkill and the money and draft position can be spent on more needy spots, in my opinion.

Draft Defense and offense in the F/A. Unless we can get a top WR. that way atleast we can free Smith from the double team a bit with an actual deep threat

If we spend our first round pick on Blackmon or Jeffrey, we could use the entire rest of the draft on defense as far as I'm concerned. #2/eventual #1 receiver is my only immediate concern on offense.

why is everyone saying draft all defense except receiver ignoring the offensive line? none of them are getting younger and the guy we drafted last year tore a ligament in training camp. We need a left tackle something serious.

if we take a WR with a top 5 pick... I'll sh*t myself. It has to be DT, CB or OT imo. Based on best player available at those particular positions.

the offense is pretty much set, they are only going to get better in time. We seriously need an influx of talent on the Defense. Would not mind one bit if all of our picks were spent on the D.

i am no longer a Captain fan.dude gets abused way to much. his size allows bigger WRs to get inside position( why you think teams like the packers,bears knew to attack with the backside slant) and his covering skills are just not that good. but still go bpa with the pick.
