Guys like Tatupu, Gerald Hayes, Tommie Harris, Marcus Stroud, Pat Williams, etc.

Tommie Harris and Gerald Hayes are both now on a Team because someone went down and they needed to fill a hole. Something we are not doing.

There's a reason that Tatupu's former college (and current NFL) coach cut him....he's just not that good anymore...

The Panthers' philosophy of building primarily through the draft will never work because it takes too long, and by the time drafted players get it, other players are too old to give you what they used to be able to.

They need to add some EXPERIENCED defensive help in the offseason, just like they did for the offense this season. Still, I hope they can bring back Shockey next year.

I'm not sure there's someone you could get at WR that would be an upgrade over LaFell who honestly should be opposite Smitty now....

pretty sure we could have done a better job at building a strong and deep WR corp. Plenty of better WRs in both the draft and free agency available to us over the last 5 years.

Maybe tatupu didn't fit in his system. Doesn't me he would do bad here. That's why you give him a chance . Every one deserves a second chance. Sometime it works out and sometime is doesn't. but atleast Tatupu would be better then what we have currently minus anderson.

Oh I agree our drafting has sucked for the most part the last 4 or so years but I'm not sure if trading picks for trash on someone elses roster is the right answer....seems to me a better solution would be to cut ties with Hurney and get a better scouting dept....

So tell me why he hasn't been picked up then, there's plenty of teams who could use a good mlb since that's what you think he is. Look being a USC fan I will always be a fan of Tatupu for what he did for the Trojans defense, but the guy isn't the player he used to be.....

He was just one example but maybe he only wants to play for a contender. I have no idea what teams have worked him out or offered him a contract, if any.
