Harbaugh gives Schwartz an enthusiastic five. Schwartz loses his shit

Yeah, Harbaugh doesn't seem to get the whole coaching brotherhood thing. Kinda funny.

“We were having dinner the other night and Jim Schwartz told [Jim Harbaugh] basically there’s no way you’re going to be able to get it done [if the lockout lasts into the summer],” John Harbaugh said. “[schwartz] told him there’s no way you’re going to be able to accomplish what you need to accomplish in two weeks if this thing lasts a while. Jim [Harbaugh] just kind of bit his tongue, which is what you’ve got to do in this situation. Because there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Actually, there is something you can do about it. You can use it as extra motivation, and then when you beat the guy who said “there’s no way you’re going to be able to get it done,” you can get really fired up and give him an aggressive handshake, along with a shove in the back.

Interesting article with Rivera and some Panthers staff and players commenting on the fracas. Most of what Rivera said was in his recent presser, but the this article has the story Rivera alluded to but didn't tell in the video.

After the news conference, Rivera tells the story. The Bears are playing basketball, just a pick-up game between teammates, nothing more than buddies having a good time. And then somebody goes hard for a rebound and defense tightens and elbows sharpen and tight end Cap Boso - great name for a tight end - and Harbaugh are in a fight.

I ask Rivera if he can take Harbaugh. He smiles and opens the door. Come on.

"I've got 40 pounds on him," Rivera says.
