Optimism Is Gone

We didn't get blown out dude, that's just the score, you and I both know the Panthers were in the game for the majority.

I said "essentially" blown out. You're right, it wasn't just the score, it was the feeling of the game. I didn't feel we were in it after that first pick.

Could've gotten a FG at the least on that drive if we played it just a little closer to the vest and then got the ball back to start the second half. It was all downhill from there.

That was a blowout. Having the ball ran down our throats, them running the same fuging playaction rollout run/pass option on us 500 f*cking times a game... I'm sick of it.

They completely killed our team and any spirit we had in this game. They imposed their will on us and no other team had done that to this point... This was a backbreaker in my opinion, it was them or us, and they came out with a convincing win. Our team is soft.

holy hell calm down. we have a franchise quarterback that will only get better as we build components around him, and he himself improves. how on earth are you so shortsighted that your this bump in the road outshadows what's on the horizon?

took some of you a while, but welcome to reality.

i had a lot of hope after our first couple games but reality set in pretty quick after that. we just aren't a complete team.

i think the worst part is it actually feels like we're getting worse. undoubtedly injuries have a lot to do with that on defense and tape on Cam has to do with it on offense, but blah.

Sadly, the losses are getting easier, just as they did last season. I feel like a Raiders fan.

I wish I could say the same, but the losses are getting harder for me each week and more frustrating to watch. The difference from last year was knowing we weren't good enough to win across the board. We never had a chance and got lucky when we did win.

This year, we have talent and offensively we can put up points with anyone (usually)... We're in the games and then just get pounded and dink and dunked to death on defense till we succumb. But, today just took out any wind that was left in my sails and Cam finally had a bad game (although he was set up to fail with the playcalls IMO). This one just made me face the facts about what our team really is.

the defense is TOTAL poo

we couldnt stop a fuging wheelchair football team (if there ever was one)

my optimism was seriously diminished after last week, but now its totally gone. i really cant see us stopping any other team this year. Vikings have AP, Redskins will be pissed next week, Colts will be desperate.

HEY! I play on a fuggin wheelchair football team!

not really.

Cam already has the pieces built around him, 2 RBs, 2 TEs, and an Elite WR. What else could he possibly need?(besides better play calling)

The offense getting better won't solve a damn thing.

It's the Defense and STs that are costing us games, but STs have been bad here for a long time.

Have to strengthen our defense in the off-season but even with that I'm not sure McDermott is a good DC.
