UNFORTUNATELY, the writing is on the wall :-(

We will struggle for the rest of the year and be competitive from week to week but come up short in the end.

Right now I'm hoping for a top 5 pick in the draft, pick up a star DT/CB/WR and make a run at the Super Bowl next year. With Cam, we have a legitimate shot at possibly picking up some big name FA's to push U's over the hump.

It's sad really with all of the potential this team had. I am going to remove my signature after this post as it is almost a mathematical impossible. (attack me for being a pessimist if u want) I'm the biggest homer and optimist about this team on this board though.

I want to see our young guys gain the experience over the course of the year, and will still be excited from week to week to see them play, but unfortunately "it is what it is

As always Go Panthers!!

But at this point, the best thing for this team to do is get a couple of wins and get another top 5-10 pick.

God bless all of u and our Panthers... I just feel defeated right now.

The team is a huge disappointment for the third or fourth year in a row. We might not suck in the future but I'll count those chickens when they hatch.

yeah... I'm tired of building for the future. I'll watch every game and love any progress I see but I'm ready to start winning.

    • It is sad. I have people chimping out over the suggestion that Huddle consensus has been better than our franchise at draft evaluations but, quite frankly, it has been. It's not just sad, it's maddening. How is this possible??
    • Great observation. Previous GMs could have improved their draft results by just opening up the huddle. It’s sad.
    • I'm not opposed to keeping him depending on the money. If he's going to count against the cap anyway (which the void year does) it's not the worst move unless an extension significantly raises his cap number. Even if it's just a 1-year deal that pays him a little more than what he's already on the books for. When he's been on the field he's been really good, but the issue is obviously injuries. I will say, having Corbett back as the starter would also give us good depth since Cade Mays can move into the backup role. That could be key if (more likely when) Brady Christensen leaves. Hard to say right now without seeing the potential terms of any new deal. In all honesty, though, if we're going to spend money on re-signing an OL I'd prefer trying to keep Brady Christensen. He's extremely valuable depth given he can play literally every position on the OL at a serviceable level or better, including center.
