I am not afraid to say it

This team is not improved from last year's squad. The offense is much improved, the defense is much worse. As a team, collectively, we are no better.

Sure, we lost all these games by a score or less. But lets put that in perspective. 2 of those close losses were to very good teams...however...2 of them were to average teams, and 1 was to a below average team.

Injuries happen...Green Bay dealt with it last season, so we need to stop using that as a valid excuse. Bottom line...we are a bottom tier team this season.

Couldn't agree more. People notice offense way more than defense, so everyone harps on how much better we are and how we are headed in the right direction. Fact is, if our offense was a 2 last year on a 10 scale, it's a 6 this year. Our defense was a 5 last year, and is now a 1, at best. 3rd and 12? They're guaranteed to get 13. They are up by a score and Ryan sucks so it's obvious to 50,000 people in attendance that they are going to Turner, and he still gets 8 yards a carry. I know we are young and learning and we may be better down the road, but the fact is as of right now our team is every bit as bad as our 2-14 squad last year.

It all starts with the lines.

Our interior line on defense is abysmal. There is no other way to put it.

As great as it would be to draft Kalil in the first round to replace Otah or a WR or a CB; the fact is, DT is the achiles heal. It has to be all defense this year's draft. Has to be; and pick up other needs in FA.

Lets get something straight, you don't know what I watch. I watch every single game that I can.

Next, Green Bay has arguable the BEST QB in the NFL along with Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, and Jordy Nelson.. And one of the best CB's in NFL history. Along with Tramon Williams, BJ Raji, Cullen Jenkins (last year), Clay Matthews.

That team is LOADED. They lost a lot of guys, but they had a great team. This was not a deep team. You can't compare us to the super bowl champions. It was a pooty comparison.

Just because I don't agree with you, doesn't mean I don't know anything about football. its days like this that really aggravate me on here.

I'm not the one that made that comment, but I will comment on what you just said.

I never, nor did anyone in this thread, compare this team to Green Bay. What I said was that injuries are a part of the game and you must adapt, like Green bay did last year. I was simply stating that we cannot use injuries as an excuse...this team is below average with and without Beason, Davis, etc.
