My First Issue With The Offense

The only silver lining is the anti Sanchez treatment.

They could have a 3 year plan and security from the FO that they have time with this team. They could purposefully abandon the running game to prepare Cam for later in his career when he has to carry an offense in crunch time.

The Jets protected Sanchez so much that he is struggling when the run game gets stopped.

Coaching and personnel on defense.

Offense is just coaching.

It's getting inexcusable now though. There aren't any moral victories anymore. I don't care if the coaches are in their first year, the sh*t they're doing is dumb no matter how you slice it.

What we need is our LB's and DT's back. We have lost so much speed on defense. God if we had our team healthy we would be stomping on people. I'm so sick of this bullsh1t. The only genuinely good team we have lost to is the Packers. The rest are overrated as hell and are just waiting to get blown out.

Falcons Defenses made plays. Our defense may as well not have been on the field. 2 fuging stops is not good enough. The only reason Chud goes to the run is because they want to keep the Defense off the field.

Maybe, just maybe Fox was right. Pay money to great players and you have a good team. Field a bunch of rookies and back-ups and you have a crappy team. Great proven vets get there for a reason. In the 10 years since the Superbowl run I have seen so many sorry teams load up on players and the next year make a run for it. We're the only ones that continue to think we're going to win with this type of personnel. And that goes for coaching too.....Harbaugh vs Rivera. It's always been about the money. Cheap employers get cheap work. And how did we do it the Superbowl year? Loaded up with vets.

Exactly, the "develop within" philosophy is a great foundation, but it shouldn't be an steadfast rule and we've killed ourselves so often by holding to it.

WR for instance. I'm convinced we happened upon Smitty by mistake. So we got one franchise WR. We've had Smitty since 2001 and haven't lined up a legit #2 beside him for 10 years now.

Yet, how many have we drafted? Guys like Boldin, Deion Branch, and Ochocinco have been available for next to nothing in trades. Sidney Rice, Burleson, Steve Breaston, etc. have been available through FA... All guys that have already had success in the league, yet Hurney does nothing.

Same deal with DT. He signed a stop-gap DT. ONE GUY. He gets injured for the year and we sign nothing but scrub guys since... No trades (Haynesworth) or signing of proven vets... We just decide "let the young guys play (and suck)."
