Dont get me wrong, hed be an instant upgrade over all but smith, but its just not feasible

Oh I know. He will easily fetch a 3rd rounder and Tennessee has two of em(one is compensatory though). We don't have that.

Just love the idea of having a guy whose specialty is making difficult/spectacular catches paired with a guy that can throw it a mile and has a slight tendency of throwing over the heads of our receivers(a lot of Cam's overthrows are routine for Lloyd lol).

I can see how we wouldn't pull the trigger on this trade for a 3rd and a 5th. When you figure that is more than Boldin was traded for to Baltimore IIRC and it's more than Smitty's price when he was being shopped back in the spring, it seems rather steep. A fifth or even a fourth alone, yeah I think it would make sense. But a 3rd and a fifth ?? How about a 5th and conditional 7th in a subsequent year? Perhaps, if we could negotiate a long term deal with favorable terms.

Will we do it? We don't need to, and that is the point. If we could get him in a good trade and could negotiate favorably contract terms, it might make sense. But Hurney isn't feeling that picking Lloyd up is a priority, so he isn't going to reach for him. He likely feels that he can do without him if it comes down to a bidding contest. Who knows really.

I don't expect us to ever bring in anyone, anytime. Up until this year we hadn't traded for many impact players since Harris. So when we traded for Olsen I was very happy. Surprised but pleased. So if we end up with Lloyd, I would be surprised and happy. I am surely not expecting anything especially if Rivera denies it. He wouldn't smokescreen.

Should we? Yes. Simple as that. Dude makes plays, and he makes big plays. I personally don't know why the fug Denver keeps putting talented players on the trade block.

I think we all know that we should've also done a lot of things personnel wise but I think we all also know that the FO and RR aren't giving up draft picks for players, especially when they like the way this passing game is playing right now.
