Yeah, just looking at that list, I can see why the Cats didn't get any compensatories. They got two starters in Brayton and Vincent and lost guys who didn't do much with their new teams.

the way things are going this year we may be getting some picks next year. i would rather have, though, an offseason like last year picking up a couple FAs who became starters or solid contributors for us this year than the picks next year.

good thing we have the 2nd FA market starting up in a couple weeks. we have plenty of time and opportunity to get some solid depth.

I actually heard recently that Jerry Angelo of the Bears (Please correct me if I am wrong, Dimz) said this is the worst FA class either that he has ever seen or seen recently. It's hard to argue with that when you see what's still out there.

that's completely dependent on who else we bring in, how many escalators both of them reach (impossible to know unless someone has access to the nflpa website) and whether or not they achieve "post season success" which is an intentionally vague and meaningless designation designed to keep funneling as many draft picks as possible to the new england patriots.

Y'all can hate on the Patriots all ya want... But ya can't hate on the fact that they develop players from within and let them go when they are too pricey.

If we did as great a job as they have in the past few years, I would hear no complaining...

Give it up to them for doing what we all wish we could/would do...

Hopefully with our upgrade in the scouting department we will notice all the benefits that come along with finding and developing talent.

Well we didn't sign...anybody. I find it shocking that we don't have any compensatory picks. I mean we DID lose people to other teams.

The signings this year, count towards next year.

You don't get extra picks for cutting players. Carr and Foster were cut.
