ESPN E:60 feature on Scott Hall

Damn, that's just sad. I have do doubt that the WWE, HHH, has tried their best to help Scott since they are close friends but you can't save someone who won't save themself. Is it that much different than Ric Flair? He is in the almost exact same spot. Both were all in during the sex, drugs, party all night age. Really tough to watch since I watch since I was a huge wrestling fan during the late 80s and 90s. My favorite wrestlers were the Road Warriors and Hawk died from drug abuse. The WWE actually used his problem as a story line which shows how sick Vince can be.

Not exactly.

Ric did indeed party... alot. But booze was always his poison. He was never known to indulge in hard drugs (cocaine, amphetamines, or other party drugs) and as I understand it, avoided the addiction of prescription pain medication.

He's admitted to using steroids on occasion, as I seem to remember, but was never a long term user. That is to say he'd do a cycle here and a cycle there in certain situations, especially when recovering from injury and trying to get himself back into ring shape.

But more than anything, Ric has always been more career focused. For good or ill, wrestling always came first, even above his family and he allowed nothing to compromise his ability to perform.

Bu knowing his history of drinking and driving, which is documented in his book, it is amazing he isn't dead from a car accident.
