Do you believe we are getting new uniforms or just a rumor?

I'm fairly certain we are getting quite different ones. Someone I trust fairly well knows someone who's worked with the design, and mentioned we are getting new ones. I can't recall the actual design though, just remember it was pretty different looking.

If the uniforms don't matter, then why is there so much emphasis on them or the helmets?

Because the players have pride in the way that they look. Anyone who has ever put one on knows that feeling of pride and respect that you get and they know that it definitely means something. It's the same way for some fans.

Because it's a way that the fan can identify or connect with their favorite team. Wearing your team's jersey is a part of our culture. Some might not like it, but it is a true.

Because the team is identified through the uniforms. The players market themselves, but it is usually through some display (or representation) of the uniform.

I don't get the whole hipster approach of bashing anyone who thinks that the uniforms don't matter. To some people, they do. If the uniforms don't matter to you, then it won't matter if/when they change them. Until then, some of us would like to know if there is going to be a change, some of us like to speculate on the change, some of us like to create examples of ways that they could change the uniforms.

For the record, I think the uniform will not change. Just the swoosh.

Not sure if this was posted or not, but this is one of the "alleged" concepts that Nike had done that was leaked. There are 2 or 3 for every team in the league. Obviously Nike has denied they are a concept, but teams and jersey manufacturers always do.

Personally, I fuging love it. The helmet is so sleek and it keeps the Panther head on the shoulder just as I request earlier :drool5:
