Darius Butler

I think Darius Butler has been playing pretty well. If he continues to grow, we may not have to worry about the CB position as much next season.

Heard he was on Panthers Talk Monday night I believe... I caught the very end of it with Mixon interviewing him and he was talking about how he had like a 40+ inch vertical and ran a 4.3 at the combine and they may have said it lower than that on his pro day, I can't remember.

But, Belichick was dumb for letting him go... He may be our sturdiest tackler on the edge and his cover skills are awesome. I'm really excited to see what he does in the future and I hope we hang onto him.

hard to believe but if he turns out to be good and hogan pans out, DB could become our biggest strength on the defense and linebacker our area of deepest need. go figure.

I don't doubt the thing about the 40+ vertical. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't it him and R.J. Standford the 2 going back and forth on the box jump video?

Oh ok, got ya. I was thinking it was the same two guys goin' back and forth the whole time. Regardless, very nasty and the Butler pick-up has panned out well so far.

He's a good physical CB... something we were lacking. The guy hits like a LB.

Yup, I was there and I was surprised by how small he is - makes me respect his ability to tackle that much more.
