Roman Harper Fined $15,000

Didn't Williams have a "kill Bret Favre" defensive game plan before?

Only reason the Saints made it to the Superbowl is b/c the refs did a piss poor job of protecting Favre from a gameplan that involved late/cheap shots on the QB.

I would not have a problem at all if Gregg Williams choked on a ham sandwich with extra mayo and died.
meh...the best thing would be to take out brees for good and then post this comment of his everywhere.

"You kill the head and the body will die. That’s usually how it goes, you hit the quarterback and the whole team feels it."

thanks for the tip, gregg.

have a good day.

It should have been a few games suspension, a $15,000 fine really doesn't send a message to the league in my eyes.

league wants to sweep it under the rug b/c it's the saints. throwing a $15k fine at him is just enough to show that they are "concerned" about it, but they won't suspend a saint for anything like that nor will they heavily fine them.

they'll use other less popular and less liked teams to use as examples for stuff like that. not the saints.

Greg Williams and the Saints have shown that they know they can't stop Smith.......that is what they resort to. Williams comments in the past, the Saints actions like on Sunday, and routinely abusing them pretty much makes it fact.

I am glad he was fined. He does not represent the Saints in his actions. This is the first incident that has happened since the storm that I was embarrassed by a Saint. They have been our heroes and our inspirations. I am sorry Roman Harper has tarnished that repution.

Glad to see this. NFL had to send a message. This is also the final nail in the coffin on any Saint's argument on the issue.

The BEST part of the whole scuffle, is that when Smitty was done ripping Malcolm Jenkin's manhood off, how he just walked away full of swag and awesomeness. You guys wanna talk about Cam's swag? His rookie swag is nothing compared to our seasoned veteran.

Smitty spinning the ball, firing 2 shots at it, slapping his helmet twice and then proceeding to toss Jenkins around like a rag doll was maybe the most awesome thing I've ever seen...

how is gregg williams allowed to coach in the NFL? especially when player safety is at an all time high in concerns. look i'm all for hard hitting but intentionally injuring people is fuging psychotic. you are potentially ruining peoples careers in turn ruining players lives and the lives of those dependent on them.

the scott fujita hit at smiths knees, this roman harper hit, blatantly declaring his goal is to take cheap shots on hall of fame qbs (favre and manning) hoping they dont get up? michael vick is a patron citizen in comparison to this man. he should be thrown in fuging jail.
