iOS 5 Troubles?

Anyone having issues trying to upgrade the software? I've been running into issues all day and now my phone has been updating for the past 2 hours. :incazzato:

I installed IOS 5 GM a few days ago, is the final release any different? I had an error when I tried to go from 4.2.1 to 5.0 GM. I needed to upgrade to the 4.3 (or w/e the most recent ios was before 5) and then go to 5.0 GM. My Ipod Touch was stuck on the screen with the cable and the itunes picture until I rebooted, reinstalled the old itunes and then updates to 4.3.

Hopefully your problem is small and you don't have to waste as much time as i did.

no idea. going into hour #3 trying to update it. can't close iTunes, can't unplug my phone. phone is stuck on that plug phone into iTunes screen, iTunes screen still saying it's trying to verify the restore

Mine worked flawlessly, took about 20 minutes all told.

I'm loving 5.0 for sure though, seems like the resolved all the issues I had with iOS and gave me even more useful features to boot.

It took a while, but I finally got my iPad and phone upgraded. Had to keep trying to restore it after getting those error messages, but I finally got through.

It was worth it though. iOS 5 is a great improvement.

3g can't take iOS 5 IIRC.

I think 3G can.

Also I did a big no-no by closing iTunes and unplugging my phone. Somehow, when I plugged my phone back in, it finished up

Upgraded and no issues.

I read through all the improvements and don't seem to care much.

Angry birds seems to be unaffected.
