The B.S. report.

They talk about the line between us and ATL at 16:30.

They both like us to cover/win.

Then says the Patriots (his favorite team) made a huge mistake for not trying to trade to Steve Smith. They said they could have at least offered their 1st rounder (28th) and that would have been a steal for the Pats.

Says Smitty is a Monster, and people thought that he wasn't over the hill, but he wasn't and he carried Jake Delhomme over the years, and was held back by bad QB play. Says Smitty would have been a fantastic Patriot (shudders).

Bill then says that Smith could be the most impressive player this season.

Then at 40:20 says the Panthers could still make a run at the Wild Card, and that we are the most exciting watch in football. Also, that they would be rooting for us.

Says that we have the best chance to be the upset with this weekend.

I love Simmons. He's been giving Cam love now for a few weeks, and nice to see it coming for the team as well.

Please. Simmons articles usually consist of him sucking off Brady and every team in NE.

If he would have said something like 'Cam has trouble reading defenses' or 'Cam isn't ready to be an NFL starter' you'd call him a terrible writer.

Anything coming from BSPN is garbage. Doesn't Bill Simmons blog about the AFC West? What does he know about this team? BSPN is all about jumping on bandwagons and being the first to say "i told you so". Also BSPN is told to "love" Boston teams such as the Red Sox and Pats. Their two CEOs are from Boston. That's why you'll always see Red Sox and Pats highlights on Sportscenter before anything else. It's the reason they gave a poo about the NHL playoffs last year. As for the Bobcats, no one outside of Charlotte knows they exist.

    • I don't have that stat available - https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-rookie-receiving-yards-leaders-2024 The number was discussed here and it was normal among *all WR. It just felt more cause a couple of those drops were back breakers. I know one drop he caught 95% of the ball, I think it was the eagles drop.  I think you always look at the whole side, he had a good rookie yardage and TD year with some poorly timed drops. He can improve and he can can slump. Sure he could have played better, same time he could have played much worse too. He was the 32nd player drafted, not some top 5-10 savior. I thought he had good rookie year with ups and downs. Knowing he did so with lack of reps due to injuries and he kept playing with questionable QB play, that looks to me like he can improve his level of play. Not on the stats either, he looked good blocking too, many big gains he was helping with down field blocks.
