I do recall one poster that showed up after a Panthers loss to gloat and got hammered. Spent a couple of months in smack posting legitimate posts trying to "earn" his way out. I think the mods even reset his rep once but it didn't matter, within a day he was right back in there.

I'm sure that there isn't a robust enough system for me to like it. Things like exempt sub forums , rep decay, weighting on both times and frequency of negs, blah blah blah.

Id much rather see Zod empower some of the more regular posters to police the main forum.

Problem with that is personal opinions and relationships among mods and certain posters could get in the way there.

I'm not knocking the mods, there is no clear black and white, clear cut way to moderate. But, some mods find certain things offensive while others don't.

Some don't like a certain poster's style of posting, others do. So, to ask 5-8 guys to govern the huddle with their own opinions isn't reflective of the masses either. All you have to do is read the infractions threads since the "personal attack" rule was introduced... That doesn't work well either.

I think if it was based off of the number of reports on a poster, that would counteract the "hey, captain internet doesn't think he's cool and he has a lot of rep, so I'll follow him and keep him on my side!" Rep is overrated anyway, I think the ability to remove trolls by majority rule is do-able and representative of varying opinions and views, not one or two guys.

Its not like the system cant be adjusted for our inflated Rep. All Im saying is if you want the system to work it can. I just think a lot of the mods dont want the system to work.

I don't think that's true... the mods do keep some order, but even they can't be on here and see every single post.

Do like rodeo said and report posts...
