Negged to Smack?

The Other Colbert

The problem is.. "what is a troll?" In my case my lips aren't glued to Cam's ass so i must be a troll..

TBH the only reason people made it there were because they Smack talked. If you posted regularly its almost impossible to send someone to smack with the Rep system. I mean the only regular poster that was always in the Red was Fiz and really the Mods still do the same thing to him now.

Though it's also worth noting that we weren't in the millions in rep points back then. Now it would only take 1 neg to make a new person red.

That's what I mean, maybe it would be a more efficient system if the amount required to send someone to smack came from the amount of negative "reports" vs the weight of one report from someone who posts the most booby pics.

All it takes is a few positive reps to get people in the green though. The door swings both ways with that one.

Rodeo is right... too much rep now for this, too easy for one or two people to do it.

I know there's a lot of crap on here... but I'm able to ignore most of it. Generally if you don't respond to the trolls, they go away pretty quickly, but some people here just can't do it.

I've been saying this for months. Got me branded as a nuthugger.

Its not like the system cant be adjusted for our inflated Rep. All Im saying is if you want the system to work it can. I just think a lot of the mods dont want the system to work.

I haven't decided yet, but there are definitely some good points made against returning to Neg Repped to Smack. Having said that, some of these people simply joining to tear up the board after a game are tedious as hell. Some of it may come from our own members going to another board and baiting them here, that's even worse, IMO.

I do miss one hundred posts until someone can start a thread.

I agree with the sentiment but Inmicus is right... people were even getting negged IN smack, which is NOT cool.

Best option is for the mods to be able to relegate posters to smack for continuous trolling/bad posts.

i don't go into smack so i don't know anything about that. i can say it's dumb for people to neg rep there, tho.

if they can't seem to dig themselves out of the hole, though, whats to stop them from starting another account and playing nice if they don't like getting stuck there. it's their own fault for getting put in there anyways.

maybe let the mods give them one get out of free card but if they go back to trolling then they are stuck there.

if the mods were capable of keeping up with it i would agree to letting them send posters there, but i don't expect that to be the case. eventually they catch up but it takes a while.

i have seen them complain about people not using the report button, but i don't think they pay too much attention to it.
