After all these years as a Panthers fan, I never thought that I would have seen a day when another team wishes they had our QB.

With that being said, i think Cam Newton will be the Highest paid QB when we renew his contract after his rookie one runs out.

but i'd rather make him that in the early stages of his career than at the end of it like the pats and colts did. i mean...giving a guy in his mid 30s a 5 year deal worth $90mil? yikes. esp. after he had just had neck surgery and was getting ready to get another one. sure, they protected themselves some by putting a cluse in ther that they would only have to pay him about $25mil if he got hurt, but still, he'd be getting $25mil for not playing another down for them which is $3mil more than newton's entire contract.

if newton is the real deal, then i can see him getting a deal like that earlier rather than later.

Oh yeah. Regardless if Newton is the next MJ of the NFL, This man or should i say kid has re-energized this fanbase completely on his own. Watching the Saints game on TV felt like a playoff game with the way the home crowd was in it. Love it:D

Almost every "elite" quarterback has off years....in his 4th NFL season Manning threw 23 picks and just last season Brees threw 22. They really show their (lack of) balls and heart. Hopefully all my fellow Cam fans out there won't do the same if/when he struggles in the future due to issues which may or may not be his fault. Freaking Eagles fans are doing the same with Vick.....as if any other qb could have even that much success when he is running for his life almost every play.
