Falcons want Cam........on their team

My thoughts exactly. Everybody can see what he is and what he does. Everybody could see what Michael Jordan was capable of also, but no one could stop him lol.

So basically what you're saying is that Cam's dad is going to get shot and he's going to end up playing for the Redskins...

well that f**king sucks

Let's hope we don't do the same, but I don't think we do. RR is way smarter than that.

Don't think so. We are real strong on both sides of the ball we just need a whole lotta depth to help with the injury bug and special teams. Other then that an elite DT is really the only pressing need. Maybe a guard (but that can be addressed in round 3 or later).

I can see us going after a bonafide receiver in the draft in 2-3 years.

I can see us dropping a 40 burger on them. Their defense has been blatantly ignored for the past what, 4 drafts? They are weak on both sides of the line, have special teams as bad as us and have cornerbacks that naanee is going to even make a mockery of.

Turner and Gonzo are going to give us the biggest problems.

Actually, in the 2009 draft they spent their 1st through 5th all on defense. And in 2010, another 1st round pick on defense. Problem is, none of those picks have made much of an impact. Sean Weatherspoon? Average LB so far. Peria Jerry and Corey Peters? Average DT at *best*.

They did get two good picks out of their 2008 draft with their 2nd round pick, MLB Curtis Lofton (good, not great, player), and a 3rd rounder, safety Thomas Decoud (another good, not great, player).

But, yeah, all in all, not much "quality" on defense out of their past 4 drafts. But more on defense than they've done on their offensive line. Hell, they've spent the last decade ignoring their OL and I feel its going to end up costing their multi-million dollar golden-boy QB his health one day soon.

And, considering they paid through the nose to Cleveland for the rights to draft an injury-prone WR with a tendency to drop the ball, I don't see a bright future in youthful development on their squad either.

But, never forget, Mr. Pencil-Thin Mustache himself, Arthur Blank, and his boy-toy Thomas Dmitroff are SUPER-GENIUSES!

Killa Cam is the best young QB in the NFL and Ryan is good but he's been overrated. As far as NFCS Brees >>> Cam > Freeman > Ryan.

Here's a reality check...The Panthers could have easily gone into over-time if not actually win Sunday's game had Rivera not given the Saint's kicer a good chance to regroup...Mistakes were made on both sides of the palying fence. In other words, the Saints didn't straight out beat the Panthers, they got lucky..If a little luck had cause that ball to drop a little lower into Stevie's hands, the game would have been urs.

If u look back at the past 4 games, a couple of good breaks had gone the team's way, the 4 games could have easily been urs. None of the teams the Panthers have played so far has outright beaten them. It just seems as if the other teams lucky breaks seem to come at the right time.

I keep posting about the postive energy ur sending out for this team and the KARMA...

which is why im not worried. Gutting this team of all it's veteran players a few years back makes us incredibly dangerous in the coming years. All these guys are going to grow together and we are only going to add more depth, weapons and playmakers through the draft. Not only that but the excitement and fan base Cam is going to bring in will attract top tier free agents.

We have put up the biggest challenge that Greenbay has faced all year. Same with the saints (except for their loss to GB). Even with all the woes with injuries and special teams we are currently a very good football team and are only going to get better.

Ur right...Look at it this way, even with all the mistakes the ST has made that has given the opposing teams easily TDs, u guys have lost ur last two games by points less than TDs. Last week the team lost by three..This Sunday's score should be 27-24 Panthers.

A few gems that I found while looking over their board

Newton won't be an elite NFL passer for a few years, if ever, so you could wait and maybe get Luck next year and him be ready almost immediately. That said... I hope they pick Cam Newton.

Please take Newton, please take Newton! (Crosses fingers)

Granted, we aren't great against mobile QBs, but Newton is going to take a while to transition.

Someone told this guy to be careful what he wishes for :D

I really hope they take Cam. The only successful transition that guy will ever make in the NFL is to Tight End.

Would be a hilarious waste of a pick.

I hope the Panthers are dumb enough to take a project NFL QB #1 overall. After facing Brees and Freeman twice in the same season it will be a nice break for our defense to defend Cam Newton. Mr. Grimes should have a field day!

One of them does bring up the Tape on cam, but then I think about it. It's game 5, there's tape on him already...lol wtf?
i think that would matter if 1) the whole playbook had been installed and 2) he had finished developing. neither one of those is the case and cam is going to be developing for the next couple years. what we see now is only a glimpse of the finished product.
You dudes do know "Killer Cam" has only won 1 game.

lol Your standards are so low that you think Cam is a real NFL QB. lol

loser/ignorant fan to colts in '98, "You dudes do know that Peyton hasn't won any games yet.

lol Your standards are so low you think Peyton is a real NFL QB"

meh...weak sauce. thanks for your "contribution".
