Damn. It's a good thread with reasonable football discussion. What has gotten into this board?

Speaking of the Falcons, did anyone notice that rug they call a field last night? It is like grey near the middle of the field. Can't they dye field turf?

To me, that reflects poorly on the NFL brand.

Let me just say, by the way, that compared to the typical Saints fan who has been on here lately, you are a real breath of fresh air. Nice to talk to a fellow football fan - even a Saints fan - who is knowledgeable, makes reasonable and cogent arguments, and who is willing to acknowledge good things about someone else's team. Most of the Saints fans here make strong arguments for institutional sterilization programs, but you, sir, have been a pleasant exception. Welcome to the Huddle anytime!

At least Saint J is tolerable and can actually have good conversation with us. All the other Saints fans that have flooded here recently are douchebags. Good on you, Saint J.

On the subject of Brees and the Saints, I think he has 3-5 years left in him. I seriously would NOT be surprised to see the Saints make a big trade for the #1 overall and trying to get Luck, if they can. Mold him, let him learn from Brees (which is an ideal situation for any rookie). If that happens...fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Realistically, the Saints FO aren't going to pull an Atlanta move and trade their entire future for one player. So, not worried. :)

If the Saints were to do that, then their front office deserves to be chastised. That said I think it's a moot point because even if a team that is set at QB (like the Rams) happen to get the #1, they will likely demand a high first rounder plus multiple other picks to the highest bidder. The Saints aren't in a position to give up picks that will help right away.

and i never troll to 'get at the board' like half of the visiting idiots that come in here week in and out. it's all for the lolz.

How do you define troll, troll? All for the lolz, yea trolls probably laugh at their own jokes, if they didn't think it was funny they wouldn't post it.

Can't say I really care either way. We have worse members here who are Panther fans.

I think our D did well honestly. You can only contain Brees. and that Game could have gotten out of hand really fast.

I'm with you on that, we played much better on the rush for the most part able to contain those outside runs. They have a really good line thats built to run and pass protect. As short-handed as we are, I think we held our own. True test is next week, holding Atl under 20 points.
