Aaron Curry Discussion

I know it's already been discussed, but I think trading for Aaron Curry really is possible. Davis is likely to be released after this year & Curry could be a great WLB. Plus, he already has shown interest in the Panthers:

When packfan_1995 mentioned to Curry that the Seahawks had enjoyed a big win against Arizona, Curry replied, with, "yea they won." Curry also said he would embrace a chance to play for the Carolina Panthers

If we trade with Seattle for Curry, what do you think we could manage to trade away?

Aaron Curry is destined for a fresh start in Carolina. Its just matter of when we can get him out here.

As hard as this is to admit, I really don't think we will see a healthy Thomas Davis ever again..

he's fuging terrible

stop talking about him

he is not a big enough improvement to warrant trading a pick/having his contract

I don't see the negative of bringing in a player like Aaron Curry.

He had a solid college career, was a top 5 pick, local guy. He may not have lived up to the hype yet but I'm sure he'd be an upgrade over J. Williams, T. Williams, and definitely push an injury prone Thomas Davis for a starting gig.

He's also a great character. I remember him donating a large amount of money to a child in need from his rookie contract on draft day.

Pass. Anything more than a 6th and I'll be Pissed!

We need all of our picks to re-build this defense... Could He "blow up" and have a great career. Yeah, maybe. It's too big a chance to give up anything more than a 6th

I could see them sending Curry here for a 6th, but it possibly bumping to a 4th depending on snaps etc. I'm not OK with that.

Just wait... Hold what we got. FA's will come running to play for us next year. Old vets and younger guys both. If anything sign somebody off the couch to fill in. There's got to be a LB that didn't get drafted out there better than Curry that will cost us nothing.

Just my .02

college career and draft spot is irrelevant

dude got benched for a 4th round rookie

dont know what it takes to make you people realize he's trash

not to mention the 'local guy' meaning jack poo

how often do we even bring in guys from the carolinas?

He is not terrible, the seachickens want him to be a pass rusher and that's just not him, in our defense he would make for a monster wlb with his speed and athleticism, at his position with his physical talent he can be coached up.

It really depends if he "lost the love for the game", or just lost the desire and faith in coaching staff. I don't know much about the situation but he could just be completely unmotivated and not entirely behind SEA coaching.

Smitty needed a fresh start as well. Luckily the drastic changes we've made with retaining veteran all-pro's, coaching and Cam Newton his fire was reignited.

He may simply not believe Seattle direction is going to match his timeline of goals.

I'd never pass up a guy like this if reasonable trade, reward outweighs the risk.
