The spin Smitty put on that ball was bad ass, and then he followed it up by letting you know the spin was bad ass, by pointing down at it 3 times, and then he proceeds to slap himself in the head 2 times, before he commence to whooping Jenkins A$$. LOL

Steve Smith is 7:30 for real!

Seriously that dude is crazy! LOL

About ten seconds later, you see him emerge from the pack looking like he's roaring.

huge departure from fox.

I seriously doubt Fox would have had a strong enough personality to handle a guy like Shockey.

Rivera acknowledges in the presser that he's kind of a "keeper" for some of these guys. He has to take that fire and help them keep it focused in the right place. Not an easy task by any stretch. If you've got volatile guys and you don't have the right head coach, you get a mess of a locker room.

One thing I don't worry about these days is whether or not our coach is in complete control.

yeah, because basically ending the careers of two of your fellow teammates is very normal. :sosp:

Ken Lucas's career didn't end with that incident. And in fairness, I don't think Anthony Bright ever actually had one.

As with Shockey, I worry a lot less about Smith's volatility with a guy like Rivera in charge.

im actually rather surprised Rivera wasnt down there slapping the poo outta a few saints idiots as well. This team has needed a coach with this intensity more than anything. Gone are the 3rd down draw plays and here are the "dont fug with us" days.

usually a rookie coach wouldnt take a stand like this with the way the season is going, i like the aggressiveness.
