We were said to have been trying to trade up in the second to get Kyle Rudolph and that failed. If we couldn't trade up high enough to get Rudulph (taken at 43) I seriously doubt we could have traded up high enough to get Dalton (taken at 35).

With the #33 pick traded for Edwards, yeah but C'est La Vie.

Just means it'll take us two offseasons to get that prolific QB-WR combo rather than one.
