Rivera: Legadu Played Well

Was I the only one that laughed when Nanee caught the first pass and then just went down? I think the nearest defender was 3 or 4 yards off and it looked like Nanee was terrified of drawing contact. Could have turned it into a few more yards if he was a legit reciever!

Alright... Rivera is starting to piss me off about this.

Me to. I think it reminds me of Foxy, which is why is scares me so much.

Nanee had a better game blocking than receiving. He blew some catches that would have given us a shot to win. I do not like coaches who will not act on the reality; Rivera does not need to say Nanee has been hurting the team, BUT...he should make the switch & start LaFell. I had more than I could handle with Fox & his 'start the guys I know, no matter how good someone else is' BS.

How would we know if Armanti Edwards belongs on this roster as a WR? He never gets a chance to show what he can do in a real game even though all our other receivers are very average at best. I am of the opinion you do know how guys will react until they are under fire. We've all seen how Nanee reacts, it's time to find out if AE has what it takes!

He's not going anywhere unless another veteran receiver who's a better player magically gets released, clears waivers and somehow falls to us in the pecking order. Even then, I'm not sure he'd be the one released.

He's the best we have at the number 2 spot. He's an adequate blocker.

Ron has had some very frank conversations with the front office about the receiver position. Don't expect any tolerance from this staff for giving guys two or three years to grow into the position. Ron has made it quite clear that there is precious little room for that in the NFL, particularly at a position that is poorly staffed to begin with. Lafell and Edwards have this season to prove they belong on this roster. They have been given opportunities. I don't believe either one has done anything so far to persuade the staff he belongs.

My guess is that LaFell doesn't know all of the plays so they can't just start him at #2. But bottom line LaFell is delivering when he's thrown the ball. They need to compromise with this situation and run more plays that the guy knows or get some plays out there where the #3 is the go to guy.

I think he'll get it eventually. Armanti Edwards needs some opportunities though. He's done well so far on punts but we need to get him in open field.
