Rivera: Legadu Played Well

Yeah, I'm not saying I expect Rivera to trash him, especially after yesterday's game being his best effort to date... But, it was still riddled with mistakes throughout. And again, he's not a natural pass catcher.

BUT, for him to bring up Naanee unprovoked tells me he's going out of his way to let us know Naanee isn't going anywhere.

That's what I don't like.

after yesterday, people calling for his head on a platter are going to have to wait a while.

naanee wasn't nearly half bad. well, he never is. it's either full on bad or, i guess, pretty good like yesterday.

i just hope there are more of the days like yesterday for him.

Naanee had his two best plays all season yesterday:

1) the block on DeAngelo's 69 yd TD run was fantastic.

2) the first catch he had from Cam, which gave Cam confidence since he was 1-3 4 yds INT prior to that.

I rag on Naanee like most of us here, but I tip my hat to him, he played well yesterday. I have no complaints right now at all.

this is john fox all fuging over again

playing a guy too much because he's "his guy"

this is some bullpoo

I think he plays him because he doesn't think LaFell is any better.

My own opinion: I think LaFell might be one of those guys who makes the spectacular catches but blows the easy ones.

I can live with that in a number three receiver. In a number two, not so much.

If David Gettis isn't hurt, this never becomes an issue.

I'd rather live with that than seeing Legedu catch a pass and immediately fall down

or not catch it period

or tip it to a defender for a pick 6

or drop it in the 4th quarter with less than a minute left effectively ending the drive

We don't see the practices though (nor does anyone else, anymore).

Even with what we've seen so far, if you saw Naanee looking better in practice than LaFell, what would you do?

Did NaaNee have a good game? Who cares. Keary Colbert had good games. Drew "Stone Hands" Carter had good games. Even Fred Ex from the Eagles had good games. Give me a receiver who shows up every game and not cost of games because he struggles to catch the ball. (And NaaNee never fights for the ball in traffic, that is really my biggest gripe against his play on the field. Put in a guy that will put his body on the line)
