man Harbough has the Niners at 4-1 and they just trounced the bucs 48-3.

Bucs really aren't good though....Freeman has never beaten a team w/ a winning record that wasn't resting it's starters that last game of the season.

Niners also have played a much easier schedule to date w/ and have a vet QB who has been asked to pickup a new system every season of his career.

I understand the whole rebuilding thing, but Rivera and company came out of the preseason without the interior defense line help they needed and have pretty much sat on their hands since. A personnel move should have been made to get a decent DT. I understand letting the rooks play to get experience, but when too many rookies are playing in key positions, the other vet players on the field who have to make up for that lack of experience, have a higher risk of getting injured. (Beason, Davis)

Didn't we use two 3rd round picks on DT this last draft? And from what I have seen our problem has been edge contain more than our interior getting ran over consistently. Maybe that is just me.

there are two former Chargers, TWO

Tutu, Applewhite, Naanee?

That said, teams that win on a consistent basis have to cut good players. Other teams take notice, especially when two of the 3 big wigs out there came from SD.

I am not saying that those players are going to work out, but familiarity with the system in a shortened off season is a big deal.

The reason that the edge does not look so good is that QB's are able to "step up" into the pocket because there is no interior collapse.

We do need some pressure, but more so from the middle....IMO

THREE ;)

yeah, you go with what you know when picking up role players, I don't see that as an issue

When did picking up Ron Edwards, bringing in several FA in hopes of finding a diamond in the rough and drafting 2 DTs with your 1st 3 draft picks become ignoring a situation?

Submitting these posts is a more important and glaring issue.
