We are not the 09-10 Packers, we are not the 08-09 Saints, and we are not the 07-08 Steelers. We are this year's Carolina Panthers, a 1-4 team at the moment, but in all honesty, I'd say out of the teams that are currently 1-4, we probably have the best chance to turn the season around and make something out of this.(fug Philly) I really just hope that some of you on this board do not handle problems in your personal lives the way that you handle losses for an exciting new Carolina Panthers team that has a bright future in this league, and if you do, I feel sorry for your children or future children who will never be able to learn how to handle a loss in life without throwing a tantrum in the middle of the floor so that you put down whatever poo you are watching or eating, and pay attention to them.

You can post drivel all you want but we are out of this season. Feel free to enjoy the building towards future years but don't kid yourself that we are a playoff team this year.

To quote a wise philosopher "it is what is is" were a 1-4 team. We have played like a 1-4 team mostly shooting ourselves in the foot.

I'd like to be 4-1, but until we grow up a bit it isn't going to happen.

I wouldn't sweat it....five more posts and you can create enlightening threads that make a positive contribution to the board. I'll be on the look out for a mrford thread.:)

we have legit shot at winning our next three and then go into the bye. after the bye, we have a chance at going 3-1 in the next four, and then 2-4 or 3-1 in the last four. in short, our record could be a legit 9-7 or 10-6! that's not too bad, especially since i predicted 10 wins at the beginning of the season.

John Clayton says this year's Panthers reminds him of last year's Lions. Once they learned to win (won last 4 of the 2010 season) they haven't lost since. They started 1-4 last year and look where there are a year later.

I'm not trying to say that this is the greatest team in the NFL, or even in the division, but all I'm saying is that at this point in the season, there is always the slightest chance that we could do something special, I'm not talking winning a superbowl, but more like just making it in to the post season in the wild card would be way higher than I honestly believed this team could achieve.
