I'm just saying that there are a lot of fans around here acting like he's already won something. I'd be happy to have him too but I'd be more upset that we lost 4/5 games with him under center. I don't think he's satisfied but for some reason his fanbase seems to be. And I know he's a machine or whatever but if the Cam love affair keeps going at this rate it's bound to creep into his psyche and make him feel "blessed" instead of what he truly is playing on a team like this in a division like the NFC South, "cursed."

fanbase is satisfied with where he is 5 games into his NFL career.....and that is ahead of just about any QB through 5 games of their career.

football will always be a team sport....he has no D and weak ST that have cost the team most games. it is what it is. The coach staffing is also using mainly Fox players in there new schemes still......as they build around Cam and there new schemes....this team should be very good in the near future.

Our fans getting complacent is far different from Cam himself getting complacent. You don't know Cam, nor do I, but I doubt he reads the huddle and from everything he has shown and what his teammates say, he isn't that type of person. If he was the type to listen to outside noise, would he have done what he did under a cloud of suspicion last year at Auburn, no. Why would Cam have the blessed mentality, if that was his mindset, why would he even be working his ass off week in and out, shouldn't he be blessed just to be in the NFL if he had that thought process. Also, you need perspective. Coming from where this team came from of course we are happy. We are competing with upper echelon teams when we aren't suppose to and we have had very real chances to win, that's a marked improvement from a team that got blown out numerous times last year, Cam is the biggest reason why we are in these games and far down the list of reasons why we are losing them. If you also look around plenty of people are bitching that we lost a winnable game.

This is a total non-sequitur. So we were talking about Newton being/becoming content with losing even though that's obviously not true as the large amount of evidence to the contrary indicates but now we're talking about his win loss record? In interviews? What the hell.

If the Saints had just come off a 2-14 season and hadn't had a franchise QB as part of their organization in quite some time, Saints fans would be celebrating on Bourbon Street if they drafted a QB that was performing at Cam's level and giving the franchise hope for the FUTURE.

logical people don't judge a rookie QB who took over the 32nd best team in the NFL on just wins and losses.

Cam has been asked to put the team on his back as a rookie which is unheard of.....and Carolina has had a chance to win every game.

Rookies QB have had much better records 5 games in before....they also haven't been asked to do as much or do so many things as well as Newton.

Wins/losses reflect what teams do. If you just want to evaluate a rookie QB and where he stacks up.....you are naive if that is all you want to talk about.
