I said 2 weeks ago that when we stop running Williams between the tackles and designed more plays to get him out on the edge he would put up some big numbers. That is exactly what they are doing with good results.

That said, they seem to be calling these types of plays just enough to keep defenses guessing, but not enough to get Cam killed. Timing is everything, and I like what I see so far.

I think we ran the wildcat once yesterday too for a decent gain...

No one going to mention Naanee's excellent blocking on that play? He might not need to be the #2 receiver but he's making plays elsewhere.

It was a really good block, he started engaging around 10-15 yards from scrimmage, tied up part of the secondary level that let Williams move through without changing direction. That left D'Lo with one to beat, which he did without much problem. Williams usually loses steam on the longest breakout runs, but he did a great job here.
