Maurice makes me feel the same way that Fox did

I have no faith in the Hurricanes ever being a legitimate contender as long as Paul Maurice is the coach. He took us to the finals once, a long time ago, just like Fox did. But, he's been to the playoffs 4 times in 14 seasons, soon to be 15, and his teams never look in control or dominant. He's sub .500 for his career, 2 games under at Carolina. I'm in a state of learned helplessness as a Hurricanes fan, no longer having hope until there is a changing of the guard.

Methinks if we miss the playoffs again this season, Francis will get his chance.

That said, Mo is not a bad coach IMO. Gotta remember, its hard to put together a consistent winner when you are handcuffed by an owner who won't spend up to the cap.
