We need to get Cam another deep threat

With Gettis coming back next season, I would spend my entire draft on defense.

Smith was tripled covered after that big gain and touchdown from him, so Cam went to 'LA' as an alternative who obviously isn't reliable. Getting someone like Alshon or Blackmon would be unstoppable or picking up Desean Jackson in FA would also do.

if Smitty is triple covered then you don't need another deep threat. You have Smitty running his normal routes and get a #2 WR who can actually CATCH balls to go along w/ your TEs.

We do need to get Cam a great WR he can rely on and grow with, unfortunately this year will not be the year. Our needs on the D side outweigh the advantage of getting another WR with a top pick. The O is clicking right along in the past two games and when you put up 27 or 29 your D should be good enough to hold your opponents to 24 or less.

TD shows us that an ACL reconstruction isn't a sure thing. So moar LB's, DE's, and DT's until we get the players that can do the job. Save the WR talk for the 2013 draft..

Unless there is a sure thing at DT when we draft, I don't think we go there. The team just drafted 2 guys in the 3rd, and will be somewhat loyal to them and let them improve. Getting Edwards back as well, I'd say we either use our 2nd on a DT or pick up a Ron Edwards level guy in FA. 1st rd IMO, needs to be WR or CB.

This draft is deep at DT, it just doesn't have an elite talent like Suh or Dareus at the top. There are about five guys that could go in the first round and start in this league. LB and CB are also pretty deep.

Free agency has a few DTs and WRs, and maybe a safety, that would fit in nicely here, to go along with some of the players we get back from injury. We could fix a lot of our problems this offseason.

there really is no point in trying to evaluate needs for the offseason this early.

The "weak" spots on the team are filled with promising young players who will be incredible on one play and make a crucial mistake on the next. Gotta let them grow this year and evaluate them at season's end, then make the determination of who has the highest ceiling and who won't develop much more.

The OLB taken 2nd overall this season is lighting it up.....exactly why is top 5 too high to take a LB?

If Gettis heals well, comes back on all cylinders, and then we go out and grab a stud WR in the draft...we could be one of the most potent offenses in the league next year barring any major injuries.
