I agree with this, I just said I disagree with the 3rd and 2 call and that Rivera should have just left the base defense on the field at the end of the second half.

It doesn't mean I want them fired or that I think they suck, not sure where all the anger came from.

Not sure either unless your alter is Achilles as he is who I quoted and there was no anger either. :rolleyes:

I think the argument here is we can get 2 yards running the ball more times than not. The deep ball with blitz pressure is a low percentage high reward option.. one I didnt like simply because it was not completed. Had it been I'd have pooped in my pants and said.. great call coach, when it wasnt I said wtf was that poo.

Williams was averaging almost 13 yards. IMO running him is the better choice

It's sort of misleading to frame it that way, don't you think? He had a 70 yarder. Yeah, we were running well and it sure seemed like the time to go old school.

But I don't have any issue with the call, and think it was a reasonable risk to take with an emerging team looking for a spark. We might just as easily have been stuffed for a 2 yard loss there, Brees would've been Brees, and the complainers would complain that was the perfect time to take a shot downfield because NO was expecting the run.
