Take a chance on Terrell Owens

That's what alot of people used to say about Shockey. I think guys like Shockey and TO have toned themselves down enough to understand to be loud on the field and not on the sideline. I remember seeing Shockey on the sidelines in NY going bolistic. Maybe TO has had the same change of heart

Just sayin... just wanted to see what others thought.

And by the looks of some of the intelligent comments*sarcasm* the huddle has become a dumping ground for half brain dead idiots that only now how to post a gif or try to be a smartarse and have nothing better to do than to think they are the next andrew dice clay

KG - I am in no way implying your post. Your post was intelligent.

This is not a good comparison. Shockey has always done crazy stuff defending his team and his teammates. TO has just been a media and attention *****. Two completely different things.

listening to Mike and Mike this morning...I knew someone was going to start this thread. I'm glad I don't have to make the decision because on one hand he does love attention and he does drop balls. On the other hand he makes big plays when he catches the ball, and is apparently an upgrade over anyone on the roster not named Smith.

In all honesty, I feel we have a good thing going with Cam and the locker room right now. I know it may not affect Cam but bringing a TO around, regardless of what he's done or hasn't done in a locker room is a huge risk.

That locker room kinda needed what happened in Chicago if you ask me. Not only did two team leaders figure each other out a little bit, but that whole deal played out in the media almost perfectly. This week's story lines are Cam and his "I won't accept losing" image, and "i don't care about stats"(even though they are amazing). Could you expect a rookie QB in Cam's situation, with all the stigma coming into his first season to handle that situation as well as he did? The man quietly goes about his business, and he is very business like with the media. His PR has been about as fantastic as his production on the field. This is developing that leadership, and that leadership potential is probably why he is here more than anything else.

If the team didn't get the message then, they will for sure if they see anything that was written on Cam this week, yet at the same time he did make a comment about being better about how he shows it on the outside. That tells me the guy gets it, and gets it beyond just a football level.

Last thing we need is a guy who's obviously been trying to make a name for himself in the media in anyway that he can. But there is absolutely no doubt in my mind he would have a ton of interest in playing here. Just look at what Cam has meant to 32 year old Steve Smith's career.

If TO were to come here in any condition to play and with the right attitude, he would post career numbers. But considering his injury and his background it shouldn't even be considered. I think LaFell will eventually seize the 2 spot full time, obviously the more upside of the two. They probably just want to see more drive from him, as far as understanding the concepts, before they put him in full time. I hope and believe that could happen this season.

I say yes not just for the Panthers, but also for TO. He's almost at that Hall of Fame level, but many think he's just outside of it looking in. Give him a chance to prove himself and help the team at the same time? Sure. I mean at least work him out.
