Just finished the finale.

The one thing that I really don't understand is what is the motive behind having a baby. It seems like so many wanted a baby and for different reason but I not sure what those reasons are. Am I missing something?

American Horror Story Changes Houses, Characters in Season 2

“Those characters and those stories are done,” co-creator Ryan Murphy told reporters today. “Every season of the show will be a different haunting. Every season will have a beginning, a middle and an end. What you saw in the finale was the end of the Harmon house. The second season of the show will be a brand new home or building to haunt.”

However, that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the Season 1 cast, as Murphy revealed he’s spoken to “a handful” of the actors about returning in new roles (hopefully that includes breakout star Evan Peters), something he planned from the start.

In addition to new characters and a new location — “It will obviously be in America, but in a completely different locale,” E! Online quotes Murphy as saying — Season 2 will also see a new theme. While infidelity was the thread running through the first season, the second will go in another direction, one apparently hinted at in the last three episodes.

use the same actors with different characters? Connie Britton is a really good actress, as with all of them really... but I don't see how that is going to fly...
