Even after his death Wednesday at age 56, Jobs is affecting the plans of Apple's competitors.

Agreda said Google and Samsung, out of respect for Jobs, have postponed a Tuesday event that was expected to include the launch of an Android device and the Samsung Nexus Prime smartphone. The blogger said such a move is unheard of given the business importance of such launches and Jobs' well-documented feud with Google.

"That's almost unprecedented for a fierce competitor (Google) to make that kind of decision. It's going to cost them some money. That's pretty unheard of," Agreda said.
