Godfrey Play

Yea I heard someone mention it before but its soooooo flying under the radar

I was the most critical on him and his play. Him being a S and not being a corner but man...

He made this one play on a screen where he flat out took on the lineman Louis and managed to stay up just enough to trip Forte and make him stumble to keep him from breaking one. At the time it was nowhere in the area but him. You can hear the collision too

I feel like he has his good days tackling...and then others not so much....to me he over pursues a lot and misses. But...I feel like hes done a much better job so far this season.

Yeah he's good for a head scratcher a game but he is playing fast and hard so far this season. He is playing with passion. He made the play on the interception, sure it looked easy but lets think about how many "sure" INTs have been dropped throughout the league this year. I like me some Charles.

To me he looks like a cornerback. Hes built like one. He doesnt have the BDawkins, Laron Landry, Ed Reed look. Those guys are seriously built. Godfrey is thinner but quick..just my opinion though.

Godfrey flys around the field. Sometimes he just needs to get his angles right, but i like how he plays.

I'm happy with him. He did have the one whiff on one of the first drives when Forte broke long, but he made up for it by cleaning up 3 plays in a row and shutting down the drive in the red zone.

Honestly most DBs are going to miss that tackle. Forte runs hard, a lot like Stewart. When people occasionally miss tackles on those guys it doesn't mean they suck, they're just really tough to bring down.

I like Godfrey. He has become a very solid tackler and a decent cover guy. He delivers a big hit.

He looked fired up against Chicago. He was everywhere. I know he's not perfect and I've said it before he's been a suspect tackler (my opinion). But he was laying some lumber in the Chicago game. I noticed it right away I guess because of my perception of him up until now. He looked good last game.

LOOOL! I caught that when i watched the game again on NFL Replay. CJ is a got damn Wild Bull on the field!!

He does whiff sometimes because he seems to go for the big hit, but I think he's made a lot of progress in his tackling. Granted he doesn't tackle like Gamble, but he isn't bad.

he's the only original team captain left... the guy is undeniably the leader of that defense right now. his ability to be the quarterback of the defense in the way that beason was, and even chris harris was when he played for us, will determine how our defense shakes out by the end of the year.

Godfrey is my favorite panther. Ever since we drafted him I always felt he had potential to be great and hopefully one day he will be.

Everybody bashes him but I think he's a good ball player. He plays hard and shows more intensity than anybody other than smitty. But smitty goes buzurke after a 2 yard catch like it was an 80 yard bomb lol. I know Godfrey won't ever be like Ed reed or polamalu but there's something I like about him and I feel he will be the panthers greatest safety when it's all said and done. Yes Even better than minter. I will be waiting for the hate to commence upon u guys reading this.
