Yes I was probably one of the few to not see it when it came out but with that being said I was a little busy that year but anywhoo what a fugging great movie!!!?!??!?!

there was so many mind binders and twist to it to keep you going all day, so with that said for those of you who watched it as well as I what do you think 1, what the movie was about and 2, what happened about the end.

the ending alone was complex enough that it could be seen as going several ways.

I think there are plenty of central ideas around the movie as a whole. I think the ending meant that even though he didn't wait to see if it would keep spinning, at that point it didn't matter. He loved his kids and wanted to be with them no matter if it was reality or a dream, he didn't need to know. He just wanted to be with them.

Just as an aside, if you liked this movie, have you seen Nolan's other mind-bender Memento? Talk about a complex movie. Good though.

Nolan gets a lot of flack from hipster nerds on forums, but I could give a poo: Inception + Dark Knight + Memento...fug your originality he is the man

I never understood it...was it all just a big dream?

its left up to the viewers interpretation....he drops enough hints that it could go either way, but if I had to choose I would say yes it was....but that's not really the underlying message which was: you make your own reality

I've watched it 3 or 4 times and my opinion always changes. One of the characters came out in an interview and said it stops spinning at the end, but it's not their movie so who knows. I personally think it stops and he's back in reality, but his kids haven't aged and crap like that so I can see the entire movie is a dream rationale.

the entire film is also very dream-esque.....not much is explained and the plot just sort of jumps to conclusions very much like dreams do- for example- they never once explain the technology, they jump from place to place at random, and the entire scene of him running away in the streets of the African town screams dream........however, like I said I think the overall point is reality is what you make it, because at the end of the day none of us are 100 percent sure what we are experiencing is "real"

great movie
