Thread title: "So how do we feel about our defense and Cam?"

Stat wise I could see him having another big day, but from what I've seen from both our defense and their O, I think we can hold them to field goals and for the most part, out of the end zone. Their offense reminds me of the early 2000s offenses we had with Brooks where he'd throw for 200-300 yards and a few TDs, put up 20-30 points, but would cost us with a turnover and had no help from the defense. I think we win by 14+.

It's sad, but I'm a little worried.

1) we aren't the best tacklers in the world right now.. and he's hard to bring down anyways.

2) they're letting him go all out (could mean turnovers for us though)

3) the crappy teams always surprise us.

we will have more luck stopping them than they will stopping us.

the saints will always win a shootout.

We'll bitch stomp cam in his mouth. Shanle will show this dude what the NFL is all about

Cam will probably put up good numbers, because like all their games they will be down early and often. Only difference is i don't think they come close to a comeback and Saints score over 30 while holding the Panthers to about 10-17 points.

Thread Title No. 2: "Panthers most dangerous weapon. A rejuvenated Steve Smith"

So who covers this guy? He's been a thorn in our sides for years, and with Newton's ability to buy time, Smith always finds a way to get behind coverage. He's killing it this year.

Shanle or Harper

No worries

those are some of the more memorable comments..some are worried that olsen and shockey go off...cause they think Greg Williams will double steve smith...most are arrogant pricks...but suprisingly there are a few good football minds on there. This is an extension of an LSU board..so it gets huge amounts of traffic.

They are going to hate Cam from his season at Auburn (believe me I did too)..so it'll be nice if we can somehow scratch out a win!

Teams have been more worried about Olsen in the red zone than Smith lately, which I'm sad to say is probably good strategy right now (and will remain so until we can get our ground game cranked up).

Saints have a decent corner tandem, so big plays may not come easy.

this is definitely the most annoying new trend this season.

"hey guys here's another forum whelp thanks by"

I'll let BTFPhoenix from the message board for BRAVO's Tabitha's Salon Takeover speak for me.

Have I told you how ADORABLE you are today? Squishy wub.gif

Whats your problem with this? I like it, seeing an inside view of other teams as well as another outside view of our own. As a true fan of the game I enjoy reading and learning about players that I may not see on the weekly basis.

    • That should count for 2 TDs.  His hands were bad coming out of college--and they have improved.  I was a TE in college, and to me, the toughest catches were the ones that were coming straight towards you.  I would rather catch running and looking over one shoulder when you have a dominant hand in the process.  In fairness, others liked catching passes with their thumbs together in their chest.  I dunno.
