I'll start with Defense

The Good

Defensive plays from scrimmage:212 (lowest in NFL)

1st downs allowed:we are 2nd lowest in NFL

Opponents first downs per game:14.8(2nd best in NFL)

Opponents third conversions per game:4(tied for 3rd in NFL)

Opponents third down conversion perecentage:33.3( tied for 6th in NFL)

Opponents Red Zone Scores per game: 1( tied for 2nd best in NFL0

Opponents passing completions per game 14.8(1st in NFL0

Opponents passing td percentage:

The Bad

Rushes over 20 yards:7 (2nd worst in NFL)

Rushes over 40 yarsD:3 (Worst in NFL)

Points per play:0.481 (Worst in NFL)

Opponents yards per pass completions:14(Worst in NFL)

What to make of it?

I'll say it again, we are playing good if not great on a majority of the snaps, getting off the field, etc. Where we are screwing up is allowing big runs and missed tackles

Noteworthy:Teams are not rushing to the left(Charles Johnsons side) and when they do they are mostly unsuccessful. However most of the success and all of the runs for over 40 yards are to the Right( Hardy's side). The middle rushes are met with average success against us, although MJD gashed us a few good times up the middle in the Monsoon. So can we please stop crying about the DT'S now?

Special Teams:

All bad here no good

Net yards per punt attempt:26.6 (worst in NFL)

2 Punt returns for TD'S against us

1 missed field goal and 1 blocked field goal

No blocking worth a crap on Punt Returns

What to make of it?

Blocked field goal attempt, I credit Peppers more than I blame anyone else

The Peterson Punt return was more inexecsubale in my eyes as we didnt even make an effort to bring him down.

Offense:

Well we all know the good so I'll omit that.Plus this thread is about what's wrong anyway.

The Bad

Naane

5 penalties that took away TD's (unofficial, couldnt find a stat on this so I'm trusting what many of you have said here0

Bottom line:

Charles Jonshon is worth every penny. Naane stole every penny we gave him. Everything is else is correctable.

And one more thing. Please get Curry we need some run support on that side, cuz Jason Williams is not cutting it.

Great post. One exception I would make is the Hardy comment. Watching in person and through the rain at the Jax game, Hardy made most of the stops on the inside running plays. He was the MVP of that game, yet MJD had a ton of yards. Perhaps Hardy is being force to cut off the inside rushes is the cause of the big runs around the corner? Also having to play second string LBs isn't helping.

I did not call Hardy out Specifically. Not everyone on this board knows that when I say to the right whos side it is. Hell, if we go back and look at tape those big runs may have occured when he came out. My main beef is with people taking the lazy approach and blaming our DT'S for everything.

I'm not saying they are doing great, cuz they are not but our coaches have schemed around it very well. Others need to step up, shed blocks and make tackles to help the rooks out IMO.
