Nope, you guys are wrong, fiz is right. In the open field, yes, find the man that is open, dont stare down your primary. But in the endzone that point is nullified because EVERYONE is covered. Rookie and second year QB's that are actually good in the open field have the most trouble in the redzone because of there is an extra defender in the back of the endzone that will knock the ball down EVERY time--the out of bounds.

In the redzone a QB has to learn one important trade, how to throw a WR open. Cam has shown flashes of this, LaFell to the back of the endzone vs GB. First QTR throw once again to LaFell that was beating his man but LaFell slipped vs Bears, etc. He will get his redzone down, it just takes time.

Actually, several times that he threw to nanne in the endzone, nanne WAS open. Cam just missed him.

rivera related an anecdote about his days in San Diego. During rivers' first year, people were bitching that they didn't run the ball to LdT more. Schotty simply responded that they knew they could run, but some day they'd need Rivers to make the big pass. This is clearly what the Panthers are doing with Cam. Gantt has confirmed as much.

Did Rivera really say that? It's odd if he did, for the following reasons:

1: They ran LT ALL THE TIME that year, that's the year he set the record for rushing TDs with 28 and won the MVP.

2: It's not like whatever strategy they used was hindering the team, they went 14-2.

3: Rivera wasn't even there, he was with the Bears at the time.

I find it odd that more often than not it seems that Cam "misses" Nanee.

But he doesn't seem to "miss" the other receivers in the same manner or with the same frequency.

That's why Cam is throwing to Naanee on fourth down. He's not thinking "man this guy sucks," instead he's thinking "Hey he's got the lead in single coverage and if he could just fuging make a god damn play it's a first down here."

irritating, but to be expected. He'll learn by the end of the season whom his main dudes are.

the realest sh.t i ever read..
