Seems the halftime shows get worse every year. The last good ones I can remember were Prince and the Stones.

There's no way they can satisfy everyone. Not sure how many people watch the Super Bowl, but no band has nearly that large of an appeal. The most successful artists today sell, what, 10 million copies of an album? Super Bowl prob has 100 million viewers at least in the USA.

I like Tom Petty and was happy to see him perform. I'm sure Black Eyed Pea fans were happy to be served their favorite band. Madonna fans will be delighted if this news is true. I don't see any reason to be critical of their selection.

I'd like to see them pick Bob Dylan. Always get a laugh hearing people complain about his singing voice.

Madonna fans make up probably 10% of the SB viewing audience. I'm sure they could find about 50+ acts who could do better than that.

RHCP or the Foo Fighters would be AMAZING! Great music, and music that has the upbeat-feel of a football game as well.
