Speaking on radio station WEEI Thursday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said there had been no conversations regarding a trade for Panthers franchise player Julius Peppers. He also said that if Peppers wanted to be dealt, he should sign his tender.

That would put the Panthers in the mix, since they can't do anything with him until he signs. At this point, all talks would have to go through his agent.

If Peppers did sign the tender, that would make the upcoming owner's meetings interesting, since it would gather the key players together.

We'll see who moves next. Stay tuned.

really? what has he and that bum of an agent been doing? sitting by the phone waiting for teams to come calling? bad idea going through this thing with an inexperienced agent. he isn't acting all that anxious to get a new team.

those who truly want change, make change happen. those who don't really want it sit around and wait for it to happen. grab a snickers bar...it could take a while.

i wonder if there is a reluctance to talk to pep and his agent because of the way they have handled the situation?

what ever is going on, it isn't resulting in much.

the shifty Bus Cook

You're one letter away from accurate there.

He also said that if Peppers wanted to be dealt, he should sign his tender.

Wink wink. Nudge nudge. Hint hint :sosp:

If he signs it now after Bellichick said he should, that'd be pretty telling, wouldn't it?
