Cam's Response to Olsen

If I said good game to you and you told me to F off I would have said just what I posted---I never spoke this way to anyone and never allowed it to be said in a locker room that I was a coach in. It is what is wrong with our country today that so many people are saying he was justified in saying this or say that language is acceptable. That language is never acceptable. I noticed you said you got in fist fights with your team mates in pick up games. Then no coaches were there to supervise. If a coach allows that kind of stuff that coach ain't worth a doo doo.

I do not believe Cam said that but if he did then Olsen should of said exactly what I posted earlier. You disrespect me as a team mate and you lost me period. I don't care who you are.[/QUOTE]

Here's hoping Oslen isn't as thin-skinned..

Last I checked the NBA has a world off problems bc of the culture they promote.

What I am saying is 4 letters words are not acceptable to use and those that use them are weak willed small minded individuals. If you can't get your point across without using those words then there isn't much to your character and character counts.:cam:

Let me put it this way and I will get off your back about it.

I missed the game winning shot in that game from my story earlier. If you said "good game" and I was upset and said, "Fug you man I don't want to hear the sh*t right now" (which i did say) and you said "Yeah well, good game but you did miss that shot that cost us the game!" I would have knocked you the fug out. All hell would have broken loose in that locker room. I certainly don't think that anyone thought you were being a good teammate by blaming me for the loss.

Maybe I have a bad moral compass, or maybe I am small minded, or maybe I am a bad leader. But I have three championship rings and the respect of my teammates who are still my friends to this day that say otherwise.

I love how Lord Vader gives pie to this post immediately after his sermon about how locker rooms should be clinical, kind, forgiving, and christian-like!

For real though, he shouldn't be targeting that loser 11 times a game, that's more looks than our RBs are getting.

If the play call is for #17 from here on out I would audible right the fug out of that call, rookie QB or not.

The reporter should have shown more professionalims and kept what Cam said inside of the locker-room like Jperson did. Why do we hold these guys to a different standard than we do these athlete? Because they bring us ish for us to spin and give our endless opinions on for hours.

If we can get on the case of athletes when they tweet too much then why don't we do the same to reporters? What Cam said should have been kept in the locker-room where it belong. Reporters are always in the locker-rooms of these athletes and u don't read every ish these they say.

Why do you want to bash a reporter so much just for doing his/her job. It's a sports journalist's job to get reports from on the field, in the locker room, at the press conference and anywhere else an athlete is with the team. If the team doesn't want anything like that to get out then they have a simple choice, deny media access....you're making it sound like the guy is trespassing by walking by them on the field or using the access he has been granted in the locker room....

Jeebus H. Keerist, you don't think these kinds of things were said and done back in "the good ol' days"?

You think Ray Nietschke would have been a cute, cuddly panda bear after a loss?

How about Dick Butkus?

Or Jim Brown?

Or Johnny U?

I didn't say they have not been around. I am saying it is not acceptable. 4 letters words hurt us as a whole. It has gotten to where you cannot walk down the street without hearing 4 letter words being used in day to day language. If your favorite adjective is effing then keep walking. What I am saying is I do not want to hear those words so if you use them then I will not support you. That is what I am saying. If you think it is ok to use vulgar language that is your decision. I have clearly stated how I feel about the situation and I hope Cam did not say this to a teammate. If it comes out he did then he lost respect from me. I know that may not be much to Cam but when I have to decide to go buy a Cam jersey or say a jersey from my favorite college team guess what? I will go with a college team. Or if I have to decide at weekend at the beach or family to the Panthers game guess what beach weekend. The Big Cat already addressed this with Cam with the no piercings and no tatoos. Mr Richardson believes character counts and I do to.

It's funny that some of these postings criticizing what Cam did almost read the same in tone. If I didn't know any better I would think the same person is posting under different IDs.

I was just commenting on the fact that Lord Vader has given us the image of himself as The Perfect Teammate. And what is Mr. Perfect Teammate's answer to an angry teammate? ESCALATE THE SITUATION!

 Methinks Lord Vader doesn't work with people very often from that basement he is typing his responses from.

You missed the point I did not say clinical-christian like I said respectful and honorable. Telling a teammate to F off is neither respectful or honorable.

I was in the U.S. Navy for 7 years on a top-of-the-line Aegis cruiser.

The U.S. military trains tough and executes its missions tough. Why? Because lives depend on it.

And serving on the Aegis cruiser was participating in one of the best "teams" I've ever had the honor to be on.

Shockingly, Lady Vader, your virgin ears would have bled from the language used by that crew. Regularly. And constantly.

Because as my mother taught me, not everything u hear and see needs to be repeated. Maybe that is why JPerson didn't make a big deal over and posted that Cam apologized instead of feeding what the reporter tweeted. Many of these reporters know that not everything u hear in the locker-room should be repeated. That is how they earn the respect of the team.

Ur level of hypocrisy and obvious dislike for Cam is showing.

And I do not see a 4 letter word here either. I have been putting F off in here all night. I realize this is a football forum and some colorful language will be used---I am saying that to say F off directly to a teammates face is disrespectful and is not what I would want from my so called leader.

I am sure that the Brady's of the world tell their lineman to get their effing heads on straight and so forth at times but to tell a teammate to F off after he says good game is totally uncalled for.

“I play the game and I want to win every single game I play,” said Newton, who sat by his locker for an extended period with a towel on his head. “Obviously, it hurts when I lose, but it’s not just me. We have guys on your team that you know they have given it all they got. For me, to some degree, I felt like I let some teammates down. But just to look into those guys eyes each and every play and to know those guys are battling, it just works wonders for our whole team and its chemistry.”
