Newton testy after loss

Not really worried about it, don't like that he apologized through the media though.

I hate losing, so I know what it feels like to not wanna hear those "get 'em next time buddy." But, I never snapped on teammates I played with for doing it...

Then again, when you feel like you're only 1 of maybe 5 guys that's carrying your team, you're gonna have a lot shorter fuse.

Which is why I hate media access to the locker rooms in the first place. I hate hearing things like this.

I agree. As polarizing as Cam is, I'm afraid that some media outlets will jump all over this and overblow it.

If it was as minor is the tweet said it was, then Olsen and Newton are both adults and it should be no big deal. Squashed by the plane ride back to Charlotte.

If I was Cam, I wouldn't be mad that the team lost the game, I would be mad at how we lost. I would march in Chud's office immediately and demand we run the ball more, and have a healthy mix of pass and run. If we had that today, we would have won.

Yet we heard his press conferences before. We heard his responses when it came to running the ball, saying it wasn't his responsibility and what not. If I was Cam, that would be the first thing I would establish in the next practice. Make a statement to the coaching staff, come on Cam!

Yeah... that's what rookies do all the time.

March into their coordinators offices and demand changes.

You nailed it, dude!

(And once it was reported that he did do that, how would you change your story? Something about Cam needs to learn his place and let the coaches be the coaches, I bet... )

Meh, 9 was FG's and the other 7 the game was over

543 yards speaks for itself. The offense did enough to win the game even with Naanee. We lost because the defense let Forte gain over 200 yards and because the special teams was atrocious. That plus really bad officiating.

When you score 29 points and pick up 543 yards, suggesting your rookie quarterback should go tear into the offensive coordinator for his playcalling is laughable.

Yep, no big deal. Happens to the best of them.

I've seen the great Peyton Manning blow up on a teammate or 2, also. Cam just isnt used to losing. This will only make him and the team better in the future.

Are you referring to this by chance?:

Dude, who's trolling?? I'm just speaking honestly. If Cam said it to his face beforehand, then that's great. I'm just taking the context that was presented to me: Cam apologized to Greg via the media. I take that as meaning that was the first such apology. And if that was the case, then I would still say that he should do that face to face.

C'mon man. :yikes:

SEE BELOW. This is why this team lost today.

Carolina's defense allowed Matt Forte to run for 205 yards and its special teams had several costly mistakes, including allowing a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown to Devin Hester in a 34-29 loss to the Chicago Bears Sunday at Soldier Field.

The loss drops the Panthers to 1-3 on the season.

Carolina's offense piled up 541 yards of total offense, but their upset bid fell short.
