Moss wants to be on a team that is a contender. But if he'd come in, I'd be for it. Heck, even TO would be entertaining to watch on this team. Realistically, Lafell should be the #2, he's done better than Naanee.

Anyone who is throwing out Randy Moss' name is obsessed with names, just like people who can't carry on a conversation about anything other than Cam Newton or Julius Peppers.

No NFL team is one player. It's about matchups. Peppers blocked the field goal, but was held in check all game by Gross, in part because Gross knows Peppers' moves, having gone head to head against him for years in practice. Come next week, Peppers could have multiple sacks if the matchup is favorable, and Gross could get beaten all game for the same reason.

Doesn't mean that Gross or Peppers are any less of a player. Big picture people aren't obsessed with names. Small-minded ones are, according to Eleanor Roosevelt.

Here's what I want to see, both Lafell and Ajirotutu be given a chance on the offensive side of the ball. Man, I've been hearing about the blazing speed of Ajirotutu since we signed him. It's about time we see what this cat can do. Too many Sundays have gone by, and I've yet to see this cat run an offensive play. See who you got Rivera! (And get Curry here pronto)

Also Smith needs to look at himself in the mirror after not catching a endzone pass he should have.... just saying.

Steve Smith is allowed a mistake every now and then, since he also BAILS YOU OUT more often than he messes up. Jake Delhomme made a career out of just throwing it up and having Steve Smith fight for it and come down with it.

Cam's placing the passes better than many of Jake's, but Smith is getting the job done. Smith, Olsen and Shockey dropping a pass every now and then doesn't anger me. Now, Smith fumbling a ball forward trying to showboat, that's a different story, but one missed route or dropped pass doesn't require "looking in the mirror". The occasional error will be made.

    • Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.
    • i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.
    • I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
