Our red zone woes

I think the whole thing is a work in progress. The announcers hit it on the head today. Chud is a 2 x TE O-coordinator. He is having to learn to utilize the most athletic QB to ever come into the NFL. I'm sure he has been given some guidelines by Rivera to utilize Cam.

Just step back and look at this from outside the "fan box". Rookie Coach, Rookie QB, panther team originally built to run - now becoming a vertical 1st team, 2-14 last year.... never competitive.

4 games this year - all have been competitive down to the end, 2 best LB's injured, no true #2 WR and....

We have scored 9 TD's as opposed to 17 for all of 2010

Passed for 1339 yds as opposed to 2289 for all of 2010

92 1st downs as opposed to 225 for all of 2010

Offense averaging 6.4 yds per play!

Yes the losses do hurt - and we still have some things to improve on, but I am damn happy with what I have seen so far this year!

Biggest thing I disagreed with today was at the end of the 1st half. Rivera is still learning to be a HC and it showed some today. Still have time outs left, 4th and inches - why would you not line up and at least try to get them to jump offsides? The clock management was a little suspect at times.

Our D is much more of a concern to me. How the hell do they let Forte run all over us when thats pretty much there only threat? Who would have guess our O would look so good while our D look so awful? Here's to the 2012 draft and fixing this sieve RR calls a run D.
