My perfect scenario with a Peppers trade is all of NEs 2nd round picks. I believe they have 2. That gives us 3 second rounders. We could leave it at that and pick up good talent at a good price. Or we have room to trade up to the 1st round if we want and still grab Johnson in the 2nd. But I'll be honest I think Peppers is going to stay.

Peppers traded

Sign Dewayne Robertson

2. DT

2. OG ( Johnson)

2. DE

3. CB

4. FB

5. SS

They have one first and three 2nd's.

They have the 23, 34, 47, 58th picks plus they have the 89th pick as well. 5 draft picks in the top 100.

Are you suggesting that I create a Pro Day sticky thread?

People don't check the draft board, We've had one for ever. I've pretty much got all of them there. Notable results from NFL.com. If anyone has any particular players they want info on, I can look it up and post it there for them.

Herman Johnson is not the answer.
depends on the question.

if the question was, "who in this draft would look incredibly scary standing beside otah and would, if he lived up to his potential, could make us the biggest baddest right side in the NFL?" then the answer would be herman johnson.

having said all that....i do still think that the primary focus should be on building that Dline and using as many of the early picks as possible towards that end. while i wouldn't object to herman monster, i would rather us go DT or DE for the first 3 or 4 picks.

As long as the question involves the 3rd round or later, I'm ok with that.

If we're going potential at guard, Duke Robinson is the man.

I know a lot of us are jizzing over the thought of a 360+ lb OG, but he is horrible in pass pro. Absolutely horrible.. he was getting bull rushed by Peria Jerry. The guy only weighs 295 lbs...

Duke Robinson is the better mauelr in the run game and much better in pass pro. He is used to a pro style offense having played at Oklahoma.

DE

CB

OG or OT

suprise pick in the 4th

DT(for rotation)

SS

another OT or OG

I made a herman johnson thread in the draft section a good long while ago

Some sites are projecting him to be a late 1st early 2nd but that is wayyyy too high for what he is actually worth

scouting reports talk about how he is slow in pass protection and gets by more on his size rather than skill, he only does 24 reps, not that impressive

drafting him in the 2nd would be a mistake, 3rd round would be acceptable

My ideal situation would be to draft him when he falls to the 3rd or later and see if he can beat out vincent in training camp, he'll be a good backup and we could at least use him in power situations
